Round table: CLIMBING BANS, REGULATIONS AND THE REMOVAL OF CLIMBING EQUIPMENT IN CATALONIA

In recent years, the number of people practicing climbing across Catalonia has increased. As a result, in many areas, proposals have been made to close certain sectors, remove bolts from routes, or implement various regulations, all with the aim of ensuring a sustainable coexistence between climbers and the natural environment.

Featuring Pere Gelis (Head of Climbing at the FEEC), Joan Maria Vendrell (climber and warden of the Góriz mountain refuge), Clara Soh (climber), and representatives from Fixe (a climbing equipment manufacturer), the Mossos d’Esquadra Climbing Unit, and the Capçaleres del Ter i el Freser National Park.
Moderator: Quim Pons (Chief Editor of Vèrtex magazine).
