In 1970, four members of the “Grup Especial d’Escalada del Club Excursionista de Gràcia” undertook the first Catalan and Spanish expedition to the Nepalese Himalayas. Their goal was to climb the first 8,000-metre peak, Annapurna, despite not having a permit to do so.
