Evgenia Arbugaeva. G. Britain. 2026. 18’
In the wild landscapes of the Siberian Arctic, Aisen Klimovskii, an Indigenous Sakha palaeontologist, descends into the depths of thawing permafrost in search of an ancient creature. The film explores one of the most pressing issues of contemporary climate change: accelerating permafrost thaw releases greenhouse gases and brings to light creatures carrying viruses and microorganisms from the distant past.
