In 1895, Fridjof Nansen and Hjalmar Johansen, left the ship Fram launched in the Polar ice and started a journey from the North Pole to get , miraculously the following year, to Vardo. In the year 2007, 111 years later, the modern Polar explorers Borge Ousland and Thomas Ulrich started to make an old dream come true, by following Nansen and Johansen steps from the Pole to the Flora cape, the extreme south of the Franz Josef Land archipelago. A crossing that lasted for three months.
