Mount St. Elias, in Alaska, offers a challenge never accomplished till now, the world’s larger descent on skis. From the summit, placed at 5.489 metres high, to the sea level in the Alaskan gulf, there is a 25-kilometre run with slopes of 60º. In the year 2002 took place there the most recent descent attempt, but it finished in tragedy. The film follows Axel Naglich, Peter Ressmann and Jon Jonhston in their attempt to go down in history by defying the technical and weather difficulties of the descent.
