The documentary follows the family Mingyur for a year; they are nomad shepherds, belonging to the Changpa ethnic, who move through the hostile lands of the Ladakh east. During the year, the family moves from a valley to another with their yaks, goats and sheep in search of pasture-lands for the herds. The building of new roads are changing the life of the nomad population and the youth do not follow the traditional customs of their parents any more.
